India had been under slavery for centuries. Even he local rajas, maharajas and monarchs had been keeping the people like slaves and when the Muslims and then the British came here in India, he people of India became second rated citizens and they lost their religion, their traditions, their worshiping places and there remained none to look after their welfare. This period of acute slavery also continued for centuries and when they became independent in 1947 they were a divided nation. They got the first blow in 1947 when they were partitioned in India and Pakistan and it is on record that millions of people were killed and millions were forced to migrate to unknown destinations. Such an upheaval had been the first of its kind in the universe. They established India and Pakistan and they got certain disputes and those disputes are still alive and in fact both India and Pakistan are not at peace and if we start counting figures, we shall come to the conclusion that they had been killing people and this killing is still on.
Since India and Pakistan could not maintain peace, both the countries are at a slow war and they are having fears. Then the people who took over in 1947 were not people from amongst the people. Both the parts declared democracy as a way of administration, but as far as Pakistan is concerned, they remained under military rule or under the shadow of military power and here in India the people who had been joining politics were not people from amongst the people, but certain people joined this line of politics taking it a profession, trade, calling and employment and they had been investing money and had been getting power to collect the money spent through scams, scandals, muddles, bribes, corruption, sale of jobs, sale of quotas, sale of licenses, taking commissions and dalali. This is on record that there had been family rule, party dictatorship and then individual autocracy and we have noted that families and families are joining this line of politics. But one thing is very clear that since the elections are a costly process, only rich could join this line and all the common and poor people were converted just as voters who are called once in five years to cast votes and they are pushed back to suffer for another term of five years. The people who got power are people from the rich and therefore, they had been favouring the rich and the poor and common people had been ignored. Had there been proper planning, proper administration and proper identification of natural resources and then proper exploitation of these natural resources, India could have attained the same position of ' golden sparrow' which it had got once in history. India has got all the natural resources at her command, but there had been no proper identification and proper exploitation and that had been the reason in India still the people are illiterate, unemployed, poor, living in huts and in mud house, they have not got proper accommodation, they are starving, they are wearing rags, they are beggars, they are utilizing open space for easing themselves and that is the reason the people coming from abroad are telling that India is an open latrine. They are hit by rising prices and that is the reason the common and poor people are not able to run with the prices and they remain poor and if we go deep, here in India rich had been growing more and more rich and the poor had been reduced to more poverty. The people in the finance might had been the representatives of the rich and that had been the reason they had been favouring the rich only and the poor had been ignored.
The people are not electing their own people. The people who stand in elections are nominees of the political parties which are like cooperative societies established by the rich and all the offices in political parties are divided by the people who establish political parties here. These parties are not established on principles, but on slogans which are pronounced at the time of elections and then they occupy the seats and divide the ministries as per contributions and not on the basis of merits alone. In fact all orders are passed by the bureaucracy and are signed by the political heads and in fact this democracy has already been converted into a bureaucracy. So for the time being, the people cannot expect that they shall go ahead towards attaining prosperity. Only the rich shall be getting all the benefits because their nominees are heading all the ministries. The poor and common people shall remain ignored as they had been during the last six decades.
